Gail Malecot
Gail Malecot started her bridal shop, CC's Bridal in Florida in 1981 in a space of 900 square feet and became one of Florida's premier bridal shop. The store grew to 12000 feet with the purchase of a permanent building. She was nominated for Retailer of the Year at the Atlanta Market in 2001. In 2004 Malecot sold CC's Bridal and has continued on as a retail consultant with Malecot Wood Consulting.
Janice E. Wood
Janice E. Wood opened Madeleine's Daughter Bridal Shop in New Hampshire in 1975. In 1983 she moved from her 850 sq ft downtown location to a newly built 3000 sq ft shop. In 2002 Madeleine's Just Prom opened in a separate location to accommodate prom sales growth. In 2004 after several expansions, Madeleine's Daughter, Madeleine's Just Prom and Black Tie Formals moved to their present location at Lafayette Plaza in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
In 2006 Madeleine's Daughter was chosen as one of the top ten Bridal Shops in the USA by Bridal Buyers Magazine.
Wood sold her businesses in 2006 and has continued on as a retail consultant.
